Randy is the owner of Boca Twisters Gymnastics (15 years) and American Twisters (since October 2007). He is a member of the USAG Florida State Board of Directors and has successfully bid & hosted numerous State & Regional Championship events and countless national invitational events as well as the 2006 Region 8 Congress. Randy is a member of the 3rd Level Consulting and Business Brokerage Team and Co-Coordinator of the annual Business Brain Trust Conference and a Florida Gold Coast AAU Gymnastics Chair & Executive Committee member. He is also the owner and founder of USA Competitions. Randy is married to his wife, Kelly, and they share three children; Maya, Hayden and Troy. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, horseback riding and flying his WWII airplane.
Clayton is the President of Twisters and a Meet Director for USA Competitions and has been a part of the Twisters family since 2002. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst with a degree in Landscape Architecture where he also competed as Division 1 gymnast, was an academic All-American and one of 8 finalists for the Nissen-Emery Award. Clayton loves working at Twisters because our staff is like a family, and we have a strong mission and vision that extends beyond teaching cartwheels and handstands. We strive to make a positive difference in the lives of the children we teach and all people we work with.
Christy is the Optional Head Coach for the competitive program at American Twisters. She is also the Floor Choreographer for the Upper Optional levels. Christy has been with Twisters since 2007. She has had multiple State, Regional and National champions in the J.O levels as well as in the Hopes divisions. She has helped over 16 athletes gain a College Scholarship in the last 10 years. Christy competed gymnastics until the age of 14 and then began coaching. She has over 20 years of experience. She graduated from Florida College of Natural Health as a licensed massage therapist. Christy is married to Ralph Ramirez who is the director of fitness and personal trainer at the David Posnack JCC in Davie. They have 3 fluffy, lovable Pomeranians. In her spare time, Christy loves to workout, go to the beach and go to the spa. She loves working at Twisters because of the many opportunities that the organization provides for their employees, as well as being able to help young athletes and coaches become the very best version of themselves through hard work.
Gary Anderson has been a part of the Twisters family since 2006 and is the Team Coordinator for all levels and phases of the Twisters Competitive Program. He graduated with a Bachelor’s and Masters degree from West Chester University in West Chester, PA. He was a Silver medalist at the 1972 Pan American Games in gymnastics, represented the USA in two other international competitions and placed 10th All Around in the 1968 NCAA Championships. He has served on the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors since 1995. He has been a speaker at over 60 State, Regional and National Congresses, Business seminars and camps. He is the recipient of the 2006 USA Gymnastics Service Award and 2007 Shirley Marshak Award for Outstanding Service and Contributions to the Elite and TOPS Programs. In his free time, Gary loves to snow ski and paddle board, and has completed 25 full marathons and 8 half marathons. He and his wife, Elayne, are proud grandparents. He loves working at Twisters because of the hard work ethic and the striving for excellence on a daily basis from both the coaches and athletes.
Katie Woodward is an optional team coach and has been a part of the Twisters family since 2015. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Geography and also competed in optional gymnastics. She enjoys running, reading, drinking coffee, and relaxing at the beach. She loves working at twisters because the coaches are friendly and the kids are happy, hardworking and fun!
Luis is an Optional team coach and has been a part of the Twisters family since 2016. He graduated from UPR with a degree in Electronic technology. He has a 19 year old daughter that goes to the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has been coaching for well over 30 yrs. As a National team coach, he has travel to Mexico, Guatemala, Holland, Bulgaria and Japan. and he has had many National team members and Gymnasts with College scholarships.
Luis Javier Fuentes Bermudez de Castro graduated as a ballet dancer and teacher at Cuban National Ballet School with Golden Award. After a practice period at Cuban National Ballet, he joined Prodanza Dance Company in Cuba as a principal dancer and company teacher before he moved to Johannesburg and joined Joburg Ballet as a soloist and company teacher. He was awarded in some international competitions. Luis Javier always wanted to develop his skills as a teacher and he trained professional ballet dancers as well as young dancers in Cuba and Johannesburg. In 2016 he moved to USA to work as a ballet teacher at The Art of Classical Ballet School, Florida Classical Ballet and Sarasota Cuban Ballet School.
Angela has served as a Recreational Coach for Twisters since 2014. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Columbus State with a degree in Sport and Fitness Management. She has been coaching gymnastics for almost 25 years and is also a Nationally Certified personal trainer, Group Fitness Coordinator, RKC kettle bell instructor and has a masters aquatic fitness certification. She is a mom of two children who bring her joy every day. She loves teaching at Twisters because it brings her joy to help children not only physically with their strength, coordination, body awareness and flexibility, but to also help build their self-esteem and confidence in themselves as individuals (and most of all HAVE FUN!) In her free time she enjoys fantasy football, church, the beach, yoga, movies, traveling & amusement parks. “GO BUCKS!”
Coach Kelley is the Party Program Director for American Twisters and a recreational coach for preschool and grade-school. She has been a proud “Twistee” since 2015, after she moved here from Orlando where she graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida in 2011. When she isn't at twisters coaching, she enjoys doing anything active or creative.
